Performance

The APS 42 ELECTROSEIS® vibration exciter is used to determine the dynamic characteristics of mechanical structures, typically by exciting them at resonance. Under these conditions, the shaker mainly supplies the mechanical power dissipated by damping, while performance is limited by its maximum force and velocity and depends on the mechanical impedance at the drive point. The following diagrams therefore show the achievable force, velocity, and acceleration envelopes versus resonance frequency and payload.
